Mont-Tremblant, Canada's second-largest ski resort, has a new club for après-ski entertainment. Located near the Fairmont Tremblant, N'Ice Club Mont-Tremblant is entirely made from 100 tons of ice and 1600 tons of snow. The arched 3,700 sq.ft-structure resembles an ice cave, with stalactites and stalagmites. The interior temperature is 28 °F (-2 °C).
A new N'Ice Club will be constructed each winter and will stay open from late December until mid-March. The N'Ice Club Mont-Tremblant features private alcoves, with benches and tables, made from ice, a real fireplace, video projectors, a dance floor, ice chandeliers and ice pillars, illuminated with coloured lights. Deer skins, draped over seats, and faux-fur pillows prevent frostbitten posteriors. It can accommodate 250 people, as individuals, or groups for corporate events and weddings.
An ice bar serves cocktails in glasses made of ice. Especially popular are the Frost Bite, made with vodka, lychee liqueur and pineapple juice, the Below 52, made with Grand Marnier, Baileys and Kahlua, and Pomme de Glace, an iced cider.
The $17 entrance fee includes a cocktail served in a glass made of ice, taxes and gratuities. The N'Ice Club Mont-Tremblant is open from 11am to 11pm seven days a week.
