TASTES OF THAILAND FESTIVAL
BRINGS THAI FOOD & CULTURE TO TORONTO

In honor of the 60th anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand's accession to the throne, the Thai Trade Centre Toronto and the Thai community of Ontario are hosting a celebration. The free Tastes of Thailand 2005 festival will take place on July 16 and 17 at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto.

Visitors will experience the tastes of Thailand at authentic Thai food cooking demonstrations and fruit carving demonstrations. Several Thai restaurants will sell specialties ranging from pad thai to egg rolls.

Entertainment will include Thai cultural and fashion shows, a Thai parade, Thai massage and shopping for unique Thai handicrafts and products. The Tourism Authority of Thailand and several Canadian tour operators will provide information on travel to Thailand.

This will be the second Tastes of Thailand Festival in Toronto. Last year's one-day event drew 20,000 visitors. Officials expect that the two-day 2005 festival will attract more than 50,000 people.
