Terme di Chianciano opened an elegant new spa, near Siena, Italy. The Tuscan spa features flavored pools, Turkish baths and saunas with thermal showers, scented mud and a large naturopathy centre.
Terme Villa Borri in Casciana Terme re-opened in 2007 near Pisa, after major renovations. The spa is located in an eighteenth century patrician villa decorated with exquisite antique frescoes.
Visitors can enjoy the soothing waters of three thermal pools, fireplace massages and special "baths for the soul." Spa lovers can stay in one of 22 holiday apartments, with a kitchen, decorated in typical Tuscany style, or enjoy the services of a grand hotel with restaurant and private covered parking.
Montecatini is Tuscany's most famous spa. Immortalized in Federico Fellini's famous film 8-1/2, it epitomizes the good life or la dolce vita. Located near Pistoia, Montecatini Terme has many hotels and boasts impressive art nouveau architecture.
Spas are located throughout Tuscany's beautiful countryside. For views of Tuscany's rolling hills, spa visitors travel inland to Terme di Montepulciano or Terme di Sanfilippo near Siena.
