The Tourist Office of Spain in Canada has launched a high-end magazine and an interactive website to promote Spain as a luxury vacation destination.
"BookSpain is both a book on Spain and a vehicle for booking trips to Spain," says Oscar Weis, President, Living Doll Productions, the developer and producer of the multimedia project.
Spain hotels
The glossy, oversized BookSpain journal is distributed to 30,000 consumers and travel agencies in Ontario twice annually. The interactive BookSpain.ca website will be continuously updated with Spain photos, stories, videos and a virtual Book Spain magazine.
"Consumers will find interesting information in BookSpain to help them plan trips to Spain," says Jorge Rubio, Director, Tourist Office of Spain, in Toronto. The online publication features articles on Spanish hotels, wines, foods, culture, nature and attractions that readers can visit in Spain.
BookSpain.ca readers can subscribe and upload their stories, videos, songs, blogs, website articles and images of their personal experiences in Spain. Readers can add their comments to each submission. The best articles and photos submitted to the on-line version of Book Spain will be selected for the print publication.
Win trips to Spain
Website subscribers, who upload articles, photos and videos to BookSpain.ca, are eligible to enter a contest for a trip to Spain for two people, which includes flights, hotels, breakfasts, car rental and tours.
The draw will be made at a Spain-themed party for BookSpain.ca subscribers who submitted the top 20 articles, 20 photos and 20 videos on Spain, selected by a panel of experts.
